Botanix Ltd CBD Vape Pens and Cartridges

There are many reasons why someone would want to use a distillate vape pen, from higher potency to countless health benefits over traditional options, the result is a product that can give you a very specialized and controllable vaping experience. Most products on the market contain either CBD, Delta-8 or THC, and any combination in between. Benefits of a vape pen, whether disposable or re-chargeable, include providing a safe and discreet way to carry around your medicinal vape, and their ease of use and functionality. By seeking out distillates that contain no chemical residuals, solvents, etc, you can trust that you will be safer when inhaling these types of products versus traditional smoking methods. Be sure to avoid products that have added VG or PG (vegetable glycerin or propylene glycol), as these are not beneficial to the body.

What are the Types of Vape Pens?

In most instances, you will find either pre-loaded cartridges or disposable vape pens. A third option would be for more experienced vape users and those are called distillate syringes. With pre-loaded cartridges, you attach that piece to a battery with complimentary 510 threading (there area that it screws together at). Most cartridge sellers will also have a battery for purchase as well (under $10 for cheap or more for customizable). A disposable vape pen can be disposable after it runs out of juice, or it can be rechargeable and come with a charging cable. In either case, disposable vape pens are not refillable. The distillate syringe is something that holds the vape product so you can add it to your own refillable vape pen with the volume specific syringe. The refillable vape pens can hold varying volumes of liquid so you will want to make sure you are purchasing the right size syringe. You will want to make sure can work with the type of product you will be adding to the refillable chamber. For instance, if you are purchasing a syringe with distillate in it, you will want to make sure that the refillable pen you have is able to deal with the thickness of the oil, as compared to a vape pen chamber that would be used for tobacco juice.

How Long Does A Vape Cartridge Last?

The simple answer is that a 0.5ml (500mg by weight, not potency) cartridge will last around 150 seconds on inhalation. A 1.0ml (1,000mg by weight not potency) cartridge will last around 300 seconds of inhalation. How long it takes to inhale will determine how many puffs or draws you can get total out of your pen or cartridge.

How Many Puffs In a Vape Cartridge?

To get an answer specific to your use, you will want to do a few simple math calculations. You will want to know your own draw style. Time yourself the next time you puff on a vape and also take note of how many times a day you take a draw or puff. The average person will take a draw or puff that is 1 second to 6 seconds long, with most falling around the 1-3 second mark. Some people will draw 3 times a day, taking only a single one second puff at each session. Others will draw 5 times a day with 3-two second puffs each session. Let's use these as examples. Person A has a 0.5ml cartridge. They take single- one second puffs at each session, 3 times a day. We know that a 0.5ml (500mg by weight) cartridge will last 150 seconds of inhalation time. This means they will get 150 puffs from our device before it runs out of liquid. If they have 3 daily sessions, that 150 draws will last 50 days total (150 puffs/ 3 sessions per day = 50 days). Person B has a 0.5ml cartridge. They take 3- two second puffs at each session, 5 times a day. We know that a 0.5ml (500mg by weight) cartridge will last 150 seconds of inhalation time. This means they will get 75 puffs from our device before it runs out of liquid (150 puffs/ 2 seconds = 75 puffs). If they have 5 daily sessions, that 75 draws will last 15 days total (75 puffs/ 5 sessions per day = 15 days). Person C has a 1.0ml cartridge. They take single- one second puffs at each session, 3 times a day. We know that a 1.0ml (1,000mg by weight) cartridge will last 300 seconds of inhalation time. This means they will get 300 puffs from our device before it runs out of liquid. If they have 3 daily sessions, that 300 draws will last 100 days total (300 puffs/ 3 sessions per day = 100 days). Person D has a 1.0ml cartridge. They take 3- two second puffs at each session, 5 times a day. We know that a 1.0ml (1,000mg by weight) cartridge will last 300 seconds of inhalation time. This means they will get 150 puffs from our device before it runs out of liquid (300 puffs/ 2 seconds = 150 puffs). If they have 5 daily sessions, that 150 draws will last 30 days total (150 puffs/ 5 sessions per day = 30 days).

How Long Should a Disposable Vape Battery Last?

A disposable vape pen battery will last as long as there is distillate liquid in the chamber. Disposable vape pens are designed to last as long as, if not longer, than the amount of time it would take to puff all the liquid out of the chamber. This usually means that you plan to use it within 6 months of taking the first puff, otherwise, you may run the risk of the battery losing its charge after one year.

Do I Need to Recharge a Disposable Vape?

No. Disposable vapes are designed to have a battery life that will live the full amount of vape juice or distillate that is held in the chamber, or longer. Even if you lose your pen, as long as it has not been having its battery drained otherwise, you will still have charge until it runs out of distillate. Buying rechargeable disposable pens can be useful if you plan to keep it for a year, but you definitely cannot refill a disposable pen, so it is not necessary to get the extra equipment if you plan to use it all within the first few weeks to 6 months.

How Do I Know When My Cartridge is Empty?

Most cartridges are clear and give you a visible indication of when it is on the empty side. You may also notice that the flavor begins to change as you get to the very, very end of your distillate. This is completely normal and also a wonderful indication that it is time for a new cartridge.
